Helping with the Road to Spiritual Maturity

Pastor Bob Bolender

Pastor Bob Bolender received his training at Austin Bible Church under the supervision of Pastor Ralph Braun. His training from 1991-1994 included studies in Biblical hermeneutics, the original Biblical languages of Greek and Hebrew, systematic theology, and church history. Pastor Bob was ordained by Austin Bible Church after written and oral examinations by a council of pastors on November 4, 1994. Pastor Bob became the 4th pastor of Austin Bible Church in November of 1995.

Robert Dean Ph.D

Dr. Robert L. Dean, Jr. is pastor of West Houston Bible Church in Houston, Texas. Dr. Dean grew up in a solid Bible-teaching church where he learned about the full, true grace of God, that there is no place for human works, effort, morality or anything on man’s part for salvation or the spiritual life. God has supplied everything for us and blessed us with every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1:3). Further he learned the significance of a consistent, literal interpretation of Scripture and the importance of God’s plan for Israel. Dr. Dean’s teaching emphasis is on helping people learn the Bible through an in-depth teaching of Scripture in the belief that no one can grow beyond the level of their instruction. Believers are challenged by the Scripture to grow to spiritual maturity. Only a mature presentation of the Scripture can produce believers of spiritual maturity: Shallow teaching produces superficial Christians. Let us all press on to the high calling for which Christ laid hold of us.  Read more

Hugh Crowder Ph.D

Hugh was born in San Antonio Texas. At the age of 17 he trusted Jesus Christ as his savior. His pastor encouraged him to attend Arlington (TX) Baptist College, where he later received a three-year degree in pastoral ministry. After spending three years in the US Army he returned to Texas where he held ministry positions at churches in Fort Worth, Houston, and Arlington. In 1970 he and his family moved to Federal Way Washington where he served as pastor of Lakeland Bible Church for 40 years. Since retiring from church ministry, Hugh has worked with Evantell, a Dallas-based ministry dedicated to teaching Christians a clear and simple way to share the gospel with unbelievers, and he has taken four short-term mission trips – two to Nigeria and two to India – to train local pastors in Biblical subjects. Hugh and his wife Cindy currently live in Edgewood Washington.
